Minnesota's crown jewel

Lake Vermilion is one of Minnesota's premier walleye and muskie lakes. At 40,000 acres with 365 islands and 290 miles of shoreline, it holds deep rocky points, submerged reefs, weedy bays, and clear open water.

Muskies to 55 inches. Walleyes past 30. Northern pike pushing 20 pounds. Smallmouth bass and crappie are here too. The lake opens in May and fishes well through October.

Muskellunge

To 55 inches

Lake Vermilion is Minnesota muskie country. Trolling and casting big presentations near rocky structure in early summer and fall.

Walleye

Past 30 inches

Evening jigging along deep rock piles and points. Consistent action throughout the season. The classic Minnesota fish.

Northern Pike

To 20+ pounds

Weedy bays and narrows hold big northerns. Aggressive fighters on light tackle. Great action early and late season.

Smallmouth Bass

Exceptional fights

Rocky shorelines and gravel points hold strong smallmouth populations. Pound for pound, hard to beat for summer sport fishing.

Crappie

Great on the pan

Spring and early summer crappie fishing in the bays and off the docks. Excellent for families and light-tackle enthusiasts.

Plan your week on the water

Muskego Point is open May through October. Weekly rentals run Saturday to Saturday. All cabins have private docks on the lake. Summer weeks fill. Call to check availability.
